About PRS Network

PRS Network is a national community of urology practices, healthcare leaders, and industry partners committed to protecting the economic foundation of modern medicine.

We work together to ensure that physician services and medical innovation are:

  • Documented clearly

  • Coded accurately

  • Reimbursed appropriately

— so patients have access to the best care and practices can thrive.

Innovation in healthcare only succeeds when reimbursement works.

PRS Network brings clarity to:

  • Documentation

  • Coding

  • Billing

  • Reimbursement

Across medical specialties—with deep roots in urology and national reach through partnerships with leading professional organizations.

We educate the clinicians, administrators, and revenue leaders who determine how care is documented and ultimately paid. We also support industry partners who need credible, specialty-specific guidance to communicate the economic realities behind new technologies.

When:

  • Reimbursement is misunderstood → Adoption slows

  • Documentation is weak → Revenue leaks

  • Coding is inconsistent → Risk increases

We solve those problems.

Our Leadership

Established in December 1989, PRS Network was built to bring practical, specialty-focused reimbursement guidance to procedural medicine.

From its earliest years, the organization has been shaped by the leadership of Mark Painter, Scott Painter, and Dr. Ray Painter, helping define a more rigorous approach to documentation, coding, and financial performance in urology and beyond.

Today, PRS Network operates under Scott Painter’s leadership, with strategic guidance and continued expertise from Mark Painter, whose influence in urology reimbursement has helped shape the organization’s direction for decades.

The organization remains closely connected to its founding perspective while continuing to evolve with the changing healthcare landscape.

Where We Lead

PRS Network is widely recognized for its leadership in urology reimbursement education. Through our national audience of:

  • Physicians

  • APPs

  • Administrators

  • Coders

  • C-suite executives

We shape how the specialty understands documentation, compliance, and payment strategy.

Beyond urology, we support additional specialties through:

  • Administration of the American College of Surgeons Coding Hotline

  • CodingToday.com partnerships with specialty associations

  • Specialty-specific education and reimbursement guidance

Our work extends across healthcare, but our approach remains the same:

Practical. Defensible. Grounded in real payer behavior.

What We Deliver to Practices

We help practices strengthen their economic performance through:

  • Documentation standards that support medical necessity

  • Accurate coding strategies aligned with payer expectations

  • Reduced compliance exposure

  • Stronger denial management and appeals

  • Revenue performance that reflects the care delivered

We equip clinical and administrative teams to make informed, defensible decisions in an increasingly scrutinized environment.

What We Deliver to Industry

New technologies require more than clinical education.

They require economic clarity.

We help device and pharmaceutical companies:

  • Understand and communicate reimbursement pathways

  • Clarify documentation and coding requirements

  • Prepare practices for payer questions and audits

  • Reduce uncertainty that slows responsible adoption

Our credibility comes from educating the very professionals who determine how innovations are implemented in real-world practice.
